Volunteers

What Do Volunteers Do?
Our Volunteers help with everything from cleaning cages to walking and playing with the animals. Socializing with the animals helps make them more adoptable and studies have shown that petting a dog or cat can help lower your blood pressure! Volunteers are often needed at adoption events to help care for the animals and talk to people.

Who Can Be A Volunteer?
Almost everyone! If you are under the age of 16, we may ask that you have a parent or guardian present while you are there.

Sounds Great! How do I sign up to become a Volunteer?
E-mail or Fax the Volunteer Form to Noel at 801-262-0382 or tenderhearttechspa@yahoo.com. You can also bring it to the rescue in person.

Foster Homes

What is a Fostering?
Fostering provides temporary homes for dogs or cats before they are adopted. It may be a puppy or kitten who is too young to be adopted, a cat who needs a break from the adoption scene, or a dog who could use a bit of home time.

What is required to become a Foster Home?
We ask that all of your personal pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Foster animals should be treated as part of the family in order to help them adjust. We can provide food for the foster animal, but most foster families have found it easier to "donate" the food and feed their foster the same diet as they are feeding their personal pets. We will also provide any vet care needed for the foster animal, as long as they are taken to an approved vet. Foster Families will need to have their foster at adoption events, which happen the first 2 weekends of every month.
